Rutuja has completed her PhD in Mathematics from Virginia Tech, US. Her doctoral research was in coding theory and its applications to data storage as well as cryptography. She is also interested in machine learning and its applications in quantum computing. At Zapata, Rutuja is a postdoctoral researcher exploring ideas in quantum algorithms and quantum error-correction.
During my PhD I did a summer internship at FermiLab. This was my first experience with quantum research and that got me interested in pursuing quantum after PhD.
