Question & Answer

Why have you chosen a career in quantum?

The potential with quantum computing is off-the-charts and there are now companies like Zapata Computing that are turning this potential into reality. The chance to be part of that was too good to pass up.

What is a problem you dream of solving (with quantum)?

Climate change.

If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why?

Bill Gates. He is so in tune with the problems of the world and potential solutions for solving them. He has also been everywhere and talked to the people responsible for causing — and solving — the problems.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

How you do anything is how you do everything.

What are people often surprised to know about you?

I used to be a music writer in Boston. I mostly wrote for local rock music publications — and even did some pieces for The Boston Globe.
