Michal Stechly has a degree in Physics and Automatics Control & Robotics. Professionally, he has merged these skills to serve in the crossfield between researcher and software engineer. When it comes to quantum computing applications, his primary interest is in optimization and machine learning. In his spare time, Michal is creating educational content (blog posts, tutorials, videos) and open-source software to help build and strengthen the quantum computing community.
For multiple reasons: Extremely intellectually challenging, possible applications of QC are incredible, and the field is very nascen, so a single person can have huge impact.
Help in solving many climate change-related issues and perhaps even mitigating existential risks (e.g. global pandemic).
