Maria Genckel holds a masters’ degree in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, where she was born and raised. Professionally, Maria has worked in management consulting, specializing in supporting C-level executives in strategic communication, managing complex projects, and performing extensive global market analyses. At Zapata, Maria enjoys the challenge of translating what quantum scientists are developing to something digestible for a non-scientific audience, as well as supporting the overall effort to make quantum software accessible and viable for business.
When the opportunity to help Zapata commercialize quantum algorithms emerged in 2018, I was already deeply intrigued by the future promise that quantum computing holds – I’m married to an experimental quantum physicist and might have been overexposed to the nuts and bolts of building and running a quantum computer! Working with Zapata is an exciting opportunity to support the team with our goal of revolutionizing the industry by making quantum software ready for business.
It is exciting to be at the frontier of solving any problem or challenge that has not previously been within our reach. Every leap forward will be an incredible achievement and something to celebrate – I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the quantum computing industry!
I co-own four antique motorcycles.
